Meet Sharon
After more than three decades practicing law, I have no doubt that being a champion for my clients and vindicating their employment rights is what I was meant to do.
I have been resolving workplace disputes for employees for more than thirty years and I still find it immensely satisfying to help my clients stand up for their rights at work and seek justice when they have been wronged by their employer. I have tried employment cases to multi-million dollar verdicts and have resolved an untold number of cases prior to trial. I also represent clients in negotiation and review of employment and severance agreements.
Whether I am litigating a case on behalf of a low-wage worker who has been sexually assaulted at work, negotiating a settlement for an employee who has been subjected to discrimination, or assisting an executive in negotiating a new employment agreement, I approach every situation with compassion for what my clients have endured. My first job is to help my clients identify their goals and provide advice regarding the likely outcome of litigation. Then I call on my wealth of education and experience to develop a winning strategy.

No employee should go it alone in pursuing their legal rights.
If you need to stand up for your rights in the workplace, you need the help of an attorney with a strong record of wins whose practice is laser-focused on employee rights. I first began representing employees in 1991, as a staff attorney with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in Washington, D.C. During my tenure with the Lawyers’ Committee, I worked on class action cases and oversaw the Committee’s amicus practice before the United States Supreme Court. Since 1996, I have been in private practice exclusively focused on representing workers. In 2010, I was a founding partner of Levy Vinick Burrell Hyams LLP, one of the Bay Area’s most prominent employment law firms. After fourteen wonderful years at LVBH, Jean Hyams and I launched Vinick Hyams Trial Partners to focus on securing results at trial.
Throughout my career, many attorneys have called on me to co-counsel cases. At Vinick Hyams LLP, we both litigate our own cases and join colleagues as Trial Partners when their cases would benefit from bringing experienced trial counsel or extra hands on to their trial team. I relish the opportunity to collaborate with other smart lawyers and to pass on the skills I have developed over what is now a lifetime of practicing law. My philosophy of trial is to be fearless, organized and unrelenting.
When I am not practicing law, you’ll often find me in athletic shoes training to walk a half marathon, baking delicious desserts, or traveling the globe
